Why a School of Ministry?
Part of the mission of the church has been to prepare God's people for works of service. It is to this end that Ministers are appointed by God and called to church service as Pastors. Ephesians 4:11, 12 It is also one of the reasons that we were given the Holy Scriptures. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17.
Here at Squamish Community Church we are endeavoring to train up our members for works of Service. This will include a multilevel approach to equipping our members. The first stage is through the ministry of our Home Groups. We will make every effort to equip our congregation through our home groups, this will be a holistic approach to ministry. Our focus will then be one of gathering and building, emotionally mentally and spiritually, caring for the needs of our members and our community. The second stage will be to work with those who are currently actively involved in some form of congregational leadership or ministry and continue to equip them for the service that they are involved in.
