We believe in a biblical definition of
salvation, which is that Christ provided for us access to God
the Father through his work on the cross. (This is illustrated
fairly clearly in Mel Gibson's movie
The Passion of the Christ.
[A word of caution, this is a very graphic movie and is one of
the most accurate illustrations of the suffering of Jesus
Christ.]) Below is a list of biblical resources which lay
out our need of salvation and God's provision for us through the
death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Who is good?
As it is written: “There is
no one righteous, not even one;
~Romans 3:10~
Who has sinned?
for all have sinned and fall short of
the glory of God,
~Romans 3:23~
Where Sin Came From
Therefore, just as sin entered the
world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way
death came to all men, because all sinned–
~Romans 5:12~
God's Price On Sin
For the wages of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
~Romans 6:23~
Who Paid The Price?
But God demonstrates his own love for
us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
~Romans 5:8~
The Only Way Out
That if you confess with your mouth,
“Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him
from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your
heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your
mouth that you confess and are saved.
~Romans 10:9-10~
for, “Everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved.”
~Romans 10:13~
Take God at his word and claim His
promise for your salvation.
